Last year I was very fortunate to attend one incredible exhibition at the Bowers Museum in Orange County in California “Guo Pei Couture Beyond” More than forty of her amazing pieces were on display This gold and emerald necklace is inspired by her work Guo Pei is the first Asian female designer to have been accepted into the Haute Couture world of Paris She grew up in a country where books were pretty much forbidden until the regime made a major change Many of her pieces in the exhibit partially resembled book pages I have never seen anything like it I hope that my piece will lead you to take a look at and be inspired by her fabulous work Each design is a master piece filled with detail Guo’s works of art are a true gem in this world It is my desire that beading my necklace may bring you a touch of the beauty I was able to treasure that day
