This piece was inspired by nothing less than last year’s (2014) incredibly beautiful Christmas décor at ‘Saks Fifth Avenue’ in New York. I felt so fortunate to be able to discover some of the treasures the incredible Manhattan destination has to offer. Naturally I loved visiting all the wonderful jewelry stores like ‘Tiffany & Co’, ‘Harry Winston’, ‘Alexis Bittar’ just to name a few. Elegance galore! I am not sure what I was thinking turning down several tickets to the big apple in my younger years. I will forever thank Blanche and Fae for making ‘it’ happen! I am already very much looking forward to returning this Fall as I see that I have much to learn from this unique metropolitan city and its people…Those of you familiar with my work, there is a lot of detail once again in each individual component of ‘Fifth Avenue’, no particular stitch, just ‘Anja S’ creative design
